UNSW + SanteVation

Since 2019, Santevation Pty Ltd, a Melbourne-based medical device company, has established a productive partnership with UNSW, contributing to high-impact projects under the ARC Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health and the CRC-P initiative. In the ARC Research Hub, Santevation plays a pivotal role as a main industry partner, working closely with UNSW researchers, including Prof. Chun H. Wang, Dr. Shuhua Peng and Dr. Shuai He, to develop advanced medical device solutions. This collaboration is structured around targeted projects that leverage Santevation's medical device development capabilities—spanning from design and prototyping to clinical evaluation and manufacturing. Through this partnership, the ARC Research Hub aims to push the boundaries of healthcare technology, addressing significant areas such as aged care, rehabilitation, and chronic disease management. Notably, Santevation’s contributions include financial and in-kind support that enhance the Hub’s capacity to advance connected sensor technology for health applications.

In parallel, Santevation has joined forces with UNSW in a CRC-P (Cooperative Research Centres Project) initiative focused on sustainable healthcare packaging, further extending their commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation. This CRC-P project, part of UNSW’s cooperative research agenda, brings together industry and research expertise to develop next-generation healthcare packaging solutions made from biodegradable polymers. These sustainable materials, co-developed by UNSW and Santevation, aim to replace conventional petroleum-based plastics, thus reducing the healthcare sector's environmental footprint. Santevation’s role in this project includes assisting with the prototype development of these sustainable healthcare products, applying its robust knowledge in biopolymer integration, design, and large-scale production. The CRC-P collaboration exemplifies the alignment between UNSW’s research objectives and Santevation’s industry experience, showcasing how industry-academia partnerships can drive impactful, environmentally conscious solutions in healthcare.

Mednovel + SanteVation

Santevation partner with MedNovel an international ICU device maker has been engineering and developing series innovative.

- CBS (Bispectral Index Scale Monitoring) offers clinicians added security for providing specialized care and comfort for their patients, including those who may be more sensitive to the hemodynamic effects of anesthesia.

- BBS (Breast Biopsy System), examines breast tissue to diagnose diseases like breast cancer. BBS technique that uses mammography to determine the biological tissue composition of a tumor could help reduce unnecessary breast biopsies.

University of Alberta + SanteVation

The World Universities Network is funding researchers at the University of Alberta to partner with Zhejiang University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong through three workshops. Santevation with his associate also joined the project leverage intervention technologies for movement in older adults, which was the foundation for the innovation for measurements and algorithm of rehabilitation systems.
